Roof Top King

A sketch from a clear morning view in Eastport
last summer--
it sure surprised me to find out
this is the same house
I had painted from a down low
angle---it looked so different
to me from up above. In the Bay
below the car ferry goes
several times a day to a
nearby island I have yet
to experience---maybe
next summer.

I am really enjoying getting to know Winna's World. You make the Moleskine sketchbook pages look so easy to use! Maybe I should get mine back down off the shelf and try again.

I don't think the ivory color of the Moleskine page is so intimidating as glaring daring white--and the smaller size says, "Come on, you've got the time to spend with me.." EJ, Winna or Jill, take your pick...

Like your latest addition to your journal., "Roof Top King" can surely see all his domain.

Believe it or not---I just this am noticed the gull in the sketch was really too big for that chimney---that's how long it takes sometimes...this calls for a story, about "Edwina and The Giant Gull" :-)

That crown is perfect! And the bit of paper with explanation adds to it too. You did a great job again.

I'll have to try those whoopie pies sometime. I think my grandkids would love them.

This SOOOO made me laugh, as a fellow NE shorline person I do know how dominating those gulls can be - Gorgeous sketch and the house was quite a challenge in perspective, Bravo!

This is just wonderful...I love the perspective. You're right about the rooftops, too...
