Breakfast With John Wayne

"Ya gonna eat em all up Pilgrim?"
I made some of the best in the world I've
ever made, French Toast Sticks and enjoyed
it sooooooo much, even with
John Wayne being sarcastic.
He watches my calories for me.....
********************
This type of photo can easily be a page
in my journal, complete with the recipe etc.
The most simple everyday things around you,
and I mean just you---are so unique if you stop
to notice---such as how you place something
on a table---what pin you chose to wear ...
where you put the peanut butter---how you get in the car ,
what's your position reading this......can you see
that as non electric these things are, they are still
wonderful moments for ideas that say "you" and nobody
else. Let's take your pocketbook and spill it
out...now that more than likely says
allot about you....I'm just harping on how
you don't have to run for office, win an
Emmy or climb Mt Everest to be interesting.
We are all different in many ways and these
'ways' help others to relate or even disagree--
but it's why were here---we all have something
to leave behind, if we record it somehow. At
any rate that's a lot of my reason, that and
being unhappy if I'm not doing
art journaling. Totally a gonner, there.
I also believe I have to be where I am in
my cyle on earth to have the time to
do this.....

Real Men around the U.S.A. salute, little lady! Wait until I tell my husband you had breakfast with John Wayne!
As for the journaling, you are absolutely right. My day is interesting...something always happens, a moment is just waiting to be captured. I think we sell ourselves short. Even Jackie O. had "boring day", Einstein wasn't always thinking, and Ron Poppeil isn't always inventing ways to cook.

It is nice to have a boring day once in awhile., but like you I seem to enjoy what I do. I am not putting it in a Journal, but perhaps I should. Most days everything does not get accomplished!!! but that's o.k. too.

Get a Moleskine small pocket size journal in Barnes and Nobel--$15.00--and worth every cent...it is amazing what fits on this size page and it's less imtimidatng with very strong, not pure white, coated paper--if you can make stick figures you can illustrate very nicely--they are adorable--you also need an HB pencil, white eraser and permanant pen...quite easy to carry around in your pocketbook..some just carry the pen, period..and work in ink right off..yikes! I'm trying that now....Buy Danny Gregory's Every Day Matters for a start--very inspiring--I just read it last week. EJM

OK, are you going to share your receipe? It looks awesome!

Sure, I'll share it here and nobody will see it---use sturdy regular shaped white bread rather than some airy stuff--cut each slice into four strips-dip in beaten egg with bit of water---then then in fine corn flake crumbs you can buy that are all crumbed...then fry gently in butter till they are really brown on each side---I can only eat 4 sticks at a time dipped in syrup...Jill
