Making Lemonade....

This sketch book spread reminds me of the

quote, "If life gives you lemons, make

lemonade.", because the marker

bleed through really was 'lemons'

at first glance.

*********************

See the top half and know it was made

from bleed through of black Magic Marker

from previous journal

spread of the glass of juice.

Total surprise to me---as it did

not bleed through

on the spread before it. Must

be because the page after was plain

and more absorbent. ? Live and learn

for sure. When I saw it,

I immediately thought of

Moroccan arches as I had just done the

Casablanca derived glass spread.

So I think an error became a

positive element here.

Merry Christmas! EJ! I will have my first Leomanade and Champaign. What would you call this? You get to name the beverage.

Merry Christmas! Great Mistake.

Fantastic "save!" And it absolutely fits in with the previous page of juice. Merry Christmas!

Sherri, How about a "Sunshiner" ? That sounds good to order at the bar by the beach at some resort...EJ

Merry Christmas. Lovely work, as usual. Mistakes are wonderful. I'll be posting a painting that was a mistake...in the New Year.

Nice recovery indeed ... I looked at the drawing before I read what happened. Would never have occurred to me that it was a mistake. This happens to be one of my favorite movies of all time and did I tell you that I love your printing?

Great stuff as usual ... man, I love coming here. :-)

Merry Merry Christmas - this is a great glass of lemonade and the arch and bleed through certainly are elements that add to this -

Here's look at your blog...

Remember in art there are no such things as mistakes...but there are other opportunities for creativity. As always, you have found them!
