This is the area my Sumptuous Surfaces (designing and embellishing fabric surfaces) teacher lives. I find this intriguing, since this is a place I'd love to live for a summer---I am now, very absorbed in the first of 6 lessons taken on line with Sharon Boggon. Acturally it's my second workshop with her. It's very much like a class you would get in college level design class and now my mind is trying to sort out the concept that will begin the design process for me---at this point I will commit to saying it will involve my homeland. I'll keep all interested, posted on the developement of this project.

Great picture, would love to visit Australia too, beautiful country!!Although I would not want a pet kangaroo, they can be a bit punchy.

I am going to look up Sharon Boggon and she what she offers. Does she offer several other classes? Australia & New Zealand are on our list of places we would like to see. You could do a lot of stitches to replicate that background.
I'm looking forward to seeing your sumptuous surface...my, that doesn't sound good...thank goodness RH didn't hear that.
I think you should send her a photo of a buffalo and tell her they run wild in your backyard.

..... and there are those of us who are still MORE interested in YOUR "Sumptuous Surfaces" than anyone else I can dare to think of! Oh, and the marsupials in question smell badly, have a worse disposition than their scent, and are full of fleas and other parasitic infestations than one can shake a stick at! And to "Quilter Pal"... I DID hear that! Ketel time.............
