Botched Intentions

The photo pretty much spells it out and
 left clicking photo should bring
it up easier to read.
What puzzles me is.... why is there
even a crumb, let alone a bite, left on the plate?

crepes and crikey

Above is my breakfast today---some wonderful crepes made with whole wheat
flour (from Cooks .com) filled with flavored lite cream cheese and chopped
walnuts....topped with lite syrup, more nuts and bit of parsley for color
seems heavenly to find a way to enjoy such a treat that I can
make myself...looked better not sliced for a photo
*****************
then below I get a chance to use the English (Cockney?) term
"Crikey ! "---for not moving myself a bit when
taking this horse photo---to eliminate the
tall grass thing in front of his nozzle... my brother in law
was elected for 10 terms I believe
and found a new use for the political signs

Hot and Cold

My icy cold water with
cool lemon slice is in extreme
contrast to my yellow VW out
there in 98 hell degrees !

Past Friends Past

I LOVED paper dolls and dressy dolls
and funny dolls etc. I imagine as a child
I wanted to grow up and wear these outfits..
....and maybe be a queen or at
the very least a princess.

Hi Anne !

Now, if I ever get the urge to paint bricks and
a whole lot of them---this photo I took yesterday
of a friend going into an art exhibit , would be one
I would return to--I asked her to go by the words
which I love and she said asked "should I wave?"
.....I was too busy composing the shot to answer, so she
just did wave and I liked that interaction look, plus
her clothes have great color and shadows....

A Moment of Eyecatchers Collected

In my kitchen just now with camera in hand
I wonder what I will see to photo--what will
catch my eye and here are three of them
moments like these are the seeds of future
works perhaps or may have been meant
to be this day's offering in my blogspot.
*************
This tea pot has been in some of my work and
this morning with its hat tipped and the
early morning light--- it screamed
"take me take me" to my camera.

Below is the round ball of elastics I bought for
a whole $ at Michaels as the really big ones
were what I was getting lately as I reached inside
the catchall draw for an elastic--good investment I say.
The pig is an indicator on top of my
Mr Coffee---his position tells me from across
the kitchen if I need to make coffee or
maybe it is brewing already. I bought
in in a hardware store by the cash
register as his full details amazed me

What time is dinner?

see photo above, for the Easter dinner I will be
having...the St Edward's Island
mussels I steamed last night and
have flash frozen for some
later meal..I saved a few shells as
they add coastal ambiance to any sea
food repast.....it surprised me that
I hadn't noticed the shells resemble
hearts when opened---it'll include
the Alaskan King crab meat, I just
shelled, (using some great strong
scissors that worked best, plus getting
two pot holders sopping wet with
crab juices) nestled next to a melted
butter shell cup--a dollop of mashed
sweet potato, a wedge of Jarlsberg cheese
with hot Maine blueberry tea to aid in
the digestion.....burp!
from The Palette Inn---on the coast of Maine
...Jill Mordasky, Keeper
************************************
(this is an email sent out to some
family and friends as a joke---
I do not own any place on the
coast of Maine---and the flowery
meal discription seems to be how
I might have to do a menu , if
I did...:-)

Not Speaking ?

I always stop at Orphan Annie's
in Auburn Maine and this time I
was two days early for the great
antique Halloween display they
have each year. This dolly seemed
less scary then some of them that
stare at you with vacant eyes. I think
she and Ted had a spat and he has
been sent to the porch with no tea.
I loved imagining scenarios when
playing 'dolls'--either this kind or
the paper ones--it was such a thrill to
have my Mother bring me some new ones
when she went shopping overstreet. That
would mean going over
the bridge from Auburn
to Lewiston on the bus
where there were more stores.

OUCH !!

Remember this plant holder I was so
pleased to find for the mint? Well, as you
can see, a gust of wind pushed him off
the bench----I put him in the
barrel for the dump
and then found him standing
back on the bench grinning at me
so I decided to keep him
as he makes me smile.
(I am assuming Kimberly put him there.)

Oh what a tangled tongue we get..

I bought this bunch of money plant
in Eastport for $2.50
which was a great price and others
wanted some but that was the only
bunch---so I was extremely
content. Now, this morning I decided to
use it in a photo for the Blog
and the rabbit was the only
prop that appealed to me
---then what the heck will the
name be was the next step
----then the name jumped in
my head and I noticed it got
tangled on the tongue after so many
repeats and added the challenge for you

Red Hip

The wild rose hips are looking tasty--but
looks can be deceiving---this must be one
mean snack !

Catching a Fly

I saw this fly on the fence post
and doubted I could
get a shot of him as
he was moving around continuously...
so I got in front of the
post and waited for him
to come around the corner....
sure enough he
did.... and then turned
around and smiled.....

Dropped Hose

I liked how the dropped hose forms an
interesting design--what do you
see for design in your yard?

Whoops!

I took this photo two year's ago at
The Vines in Groton Long Point and just
now noticed the cushion which goes
with the expression quite well !

Hey, Mom, can we come out?

Taken at a near by house--I got several shots
with one, two, three or even five cats
at once..I like this one for the interaction
of the owner and her pets

On The Fence

Another Vermont scene--I know when I take
a shot to remember a place it has
too much in it to be interesting and a good photo
---this is better with a
center of interest, however you can not tell
where it is.

Festive Window Scene

Sunday Aug 17 02
Since I've been doing this for 8 months
now I can't recall if I used this photo
before. It's in Vermont and my friend,
Anne has stopped the car and let me out so
I could take this photo.

Chime Design

Out on the back porch, two old battered
chimes take on a cool look with a
different camera angle

Want some?

Since I am busy with an online class I
am not getting this done as early as
usual. I just saw this growing out
under the birch clump---picked it...sliced
it and sauted with onions with a dash of
soy sauce and honey---wow!
does it ever taste odd--aarrrrrggggggggg...

Out on the lawn just now.

So the guy on the left asks
"Are we six of one or half a dozen of the other?"
then the middle guy says,
"Makes no difference bird brain!"
Which makes the guy on the right say:
"What a bunch of turkeys !"
