SENTIMANTAL SUPPLY CUPS

Left click the photo to see the words better
****************
Another EDM challenge done....these cups
were sketched while they sat in front of me
as I use them pretty much daily. I added the
coffee cup stains to perk up that
area--they did bleed through
but just a bit. I can count, in my head,
12 more cups being used in a similar
manner throughout the house...
but I may be missing some and not
about to make a house tour. Maybe
some use the very same cups....

This is WONDERFUL! And oh, yes, I have many, many cups like that. When my favorite coffee cup finally broke recently I promoted it to art supply container--it had a crack when I found it in the secondhand store, but I loved the glaze and bought it anyway--it lived another 6 years or so of daily use!

I'm a little hurt that the blueberry cup didn't make the cut!

We do the same thing here. My husband, especially, loves to use sentimental cups as pencil/pen holders. We also have them spread throughout the house (anywhere we may need a pencil/pen).

I love your drawing and your sketchbook. It is a wonderful journey and will someday become a cherished keepsake.

I love this sketch., the first thing that it reminded me of was the class, with your brushes in there holders on the table and in your "catch all cart", the coffee cup reminded me of coffee break, all our cups hanging on the peg board., mine next to Lorraine's.
Miss those great Thursday's!!!

Great drawing! Sounds like using cups like this is universal. I sure have'em around the house. Some are junk, others have sentimental value. My favorite is a military surplus cup from my Dad that's from the English Army when they occupied northern Africa. It's beat up junk but still neat.

Oh the loving sentiment shows in each cup - the silver just sings! and the coffee stains are sheer genius!!

Love this - it;s so true! I was recently trying to rationalise mine and order the ones that were left, like one was for nice watercolour brushes, one for pencils, one for pens...

Then you work on a piece and they get all dosordered again. Doh!

I'm afraid I've not had chance to looj at your site lately but you've done so much great stuff while I was away. PLease do keep it up - you're an inspiration that I think about every time I turn a new page of my moleskine! :)

xx

Wooowee! This is a delightful entry! I have my pencils in toilet paper rolls, and my brushes in Kerr jars. Your holders are way classier.
