"Pharaohs Chanting"

Last week, I waited for about an hour, alone in this area
of a museum that had Egyptian artifacts
in this lower lobby---believe me, it doesn't
take long for the imagination to take you
back in time......

Ohhhh this sketch makes the hair on my neck stand up too!!! Very dramatic and how did you get such a deep black - using colored pencil??

heh heh... I see the Winna symbol...!!! a lovely piece - I wondered what you'd do with your musem visit resources!

The black is liquid acrylic paint, not thickly applied---needed that richness. Mixed media is often my way to go... Winna

This is a pencil sketch, that was next inked then watercolor pencils and a water brush were used for color---last, black liquid acrylic paint was added on lower left, for richest color---sprays of reworkable fixative are used to keep the layers set. Winna
