I don't recall where I got them.
They have been worn by several children by
the wear on the soles and long ago lost
their laces. To me, they seem to hold promise
as all babies do when we hold them and feel their
breath on our cheek and pray for their safety.
So much love passes and stays forever.

The kids are at such a cute age when they fit into these shoes. Wouldn't it be nice if they can stay like that forever? Instead they turn into teenagers that know everything and their parents don't. But thankfully, so I am told, once they hit their early twenties, their parents aren't so dumb anymore. I can't wait for that day!
might take till their early 30's---but it'll come, the wisdom of the ages...EJM
Beautiful little shoes!!! Can remember my boys little shoes a long time ago, oh to go back in time a bit!!

Modern children don't wear Stride-Rite shoes anymore....replaced by the sneaker. I wonder if shoe names affect the outcome of children?
Well, of course brand names say it like it is..
today's kiddos, sorry to say, are far sneakier than previous generations....because of the media, they think they are a milion times smarter about what's good for them and will testify to the truth of that logic with ruined lives--theirs and others...sign me Doomsayer
this is such a peacefull photo.
