Crystal and The Cake

EDM # 69 A Piece of Cake

My grandaughter, Crystal came

over with the cake not decorated as

I used to do them. But alas, all my

decorating supplies were not to be found.

Soooo, it was a fun time improvising and

trying to get it to a stage where

both of us could stand it. It went

to a farewell get together that night

and I'll bet nobody ever saw a cake

with that size rose on it before.

Years from now she can remember

it and laugh again I hope.

That is wonderful! Great drawing! I decorated cakes too. Learned early not to rely on all the gadgets.

Fabulous!!

Do I remember correctly that you do all of this in the Moleskine sketchbook (lavendar band) with watercolor pencils?

Great post, love her face and that cake looks amazingly yummy!!

Shirley: Yes it's the mini Moeleskine blank one---this time---I use a bigger one sometimes--and I am not using regular watercolors, but the Farber Castel watercolor pencils and waterbrushes---this uses less water nd is easy clean up. Winna

This is wonderful. But then all of your journal spreads blow me away. You inspire me to push on and keep trying. Love your book as well.
