The Poet's View

This is in Ireland when the bus broke down---our little class
had time to do some quick sketching and I added
color to mine back at the hotel. Probably the first scenic
I have ever done that I can recall..but those
patchwork fields demanded it of me and
the poem also begged me to write
it all down--what is happening each
day I am way over there in Ireland.
Before I return home I plan to show
you the poem which I can not think of nor read
without it getting to me...
and so I sat on the ancient stone bench
and started to feel the words..

Love those fields and the greens (nice mixture of greens you created), sure makes one miss places like that (all the rolling hills and patch fiels).

This is beautiful - and you describe the situation so well. Absolute poetry!

Great landscape! It's so hard to capture a full view like that...and the sentiment.

I thought I left a comment here the other day. It is a beautiful scene --takes me away.

ooo how stunning to sit down and look at Irish landscape!

If you have time and interest, I'd be honored to have you check out a little project I'm trying to get off the ground! I'd be happy to extend the mailing date if necessary.

Great drawing. I can feel the place! I'd love to go to Ireland one day, it's not that far from France... Thanks for the opportunity to travel a little with your blog ^^!
