Twirly Teens

Wednesday 9th of April 2008
This could be two teenagers
in my class, but it isn't. We
were not satisfied till we had
a "broomstick skirt" to wear
to school etc. They flared
out when dancing which seemed
daring and wild.
I recall, that just because a
friend's mother wore gold hoop
earings, I thought she must truly
be a Gypsey. We kept
the many folds in the circle skirt
looking pleated by tying the
skirt to a broomstick to
dry the pleats in.

Jill, I love to read your blog and don't usually unless you send it to me. I took the step today to bookmark you. I have decided to put you in my life as something I want to do about every day. Of course I won't always have time, but I will try.
Thanks for leaving a legacy.

Today the skirt would be cut off up to the thigh top and the blouse would have to be very tight, open and exposing the bra-----and the girl whould have an attitude about anyone staring at her.
