when reading the words, please insert "shelf"
where you think it ought to be--I forgot to...
I love this old tin with it's dings and
scrapes---been around a long time
I think. I have it my kitchen
where I have a lot of collected red things
.I don't remember where I picked it up but
.I don't remember where I picked it up but
I know the cover was almost welded on
it seemed...and you could shake and hear
something was in there...finally got it
off through sheer determination and
wondered just how old the tea leaves are.
I rubbed Vaseline on the cover edges and
set it back on the shelf. I was happy
to have it "fit" an Every Day Matters
drawing challenge. I have used mixed medias
in a Moleskine journal. I ought to brew a cup
just to read the leaves as my grand mother
was so expert at this, she'd have me all
wide eyed listening to her tales...

As you I love old tins, have a few in my kitchen., enjoy seeing yours!! Great job.
Are you sure it's tea leaves inside....??
This is so beautifully done. It always amazes me how substantial your work is in a moleskine. Love the curve of the tin, and the dark background.
This is a beautiful picture, lovely old tin! Exactly the kind of thing I like to keep!
Wow, WInna - your rendering of this tin is fabulous! I had to look twice to see that it wasn't a photo that you'd stuck in!!!!
I checked your blog many times and suddenly I see you've posted several entries since my last visit! Good to see your work again! Love this tin, you've done an excellent job on the metal. Enjoyed the other entries too, I'll check in more often now.
Oh that tin is gorgeous, and I am sure you have captured it perfectly ! Good to see a post from you!
The tin looks absolutely real! I thought it was a photo! What a great keepsake.
This is wonderful! Every bit of it. I thought at first that it was a collage and that the tin was a photo. Then I thought the tea leaves were a photo. It's just beautiful.
I certainly love to receive your comments and am so happy for your visits. I think when you click on the photo to enlarge it you can see it is all painted somehow---mostly with watercolor pencils, Pitt pen and acrylic touches here and there. winna
Cool picture, I love tins.
