These are thoughts that popped into

my head while sitting on my back porch ...

These types of journals help to sharpen your

mind for creativity and awareness

of your surroundings you might not be

noticing. Your work will imporve

in many areas as will your life.

So I won't get lost

A journal entry with a map of the area

small to read the notations which add

a lot to the spread.

The wild rose hips are looking tasty--but

looks can be deceiving---this must be one

mean snack !

Catching a Fly

I saw this fly on the fence post

and doubted I could

get a shot of him as

he was moving around continuously...

so I got in front of the

post and waited for him

to come around the corner....

sure enough he

did.... and then turned

around and smiled.....

Dropped Hose

I liked how the dropped hose forms an

interesting design--what do you

see for design in your yard?

I took this photo two year's ago at

The Vines in Groton Long Point and just

now noticed the cushion which goes

with the expression quite well !

Hey, Mom, can we come out?

Taken at a near by house--I got several shots

with one, two, three or even five cats

at once..I like this one for the interaction

of the owner and her pets

Another Vermont scene--I know when I take

a shot to remember a place it has

too much in it to be interesting and a good photo

---this is better with a

center of interest, however you can not tell

where it is.

Since I've been doing this for 8 months

now I can't recall if I used this photo

before. It's in Vermont and my friend,

Anne has stopped the car and let me out so

I could take this photo.

Basket Eye

Here is another back porch item--an very weathered basket that must have been out there 4 years now---and just yesterday I decided

to photo it this way. It amazes me that I haven't

already done this.

Chime Design

Out on the back porch, two old battered

chimes take on a cool look with a

different camera angle

Since I am busy with an online class I

am not getting this done as early as

usual. I just saw this growing out

under the birch clump---picked it...sliced

it and sauted with onions with a dash of

soy sauce and honey---wow!

does it ever taste odd--aarrrrrggggggggg...

Out on the lawn just now.

So the guy on the left asks

"Are we six of one or half a dozen of the other?"

then the middle guy says,

"Makes no difference bird brain!"

Which makes the guy on the right say:

"What a bunch of turkeys !"

Open Barn Door

It's not often this barn door is open but

I love seeing through it, to the trees. I had to back up

and take the shot quickly and am happy I

got it.

Talk About Old Times

Here's two Vermont chairs waiting for two

friends to sit a spell----now that the wash

has been taken down and a pitcher of

cold Margaritas will be served.....

Sad News

The call came this morning, from my

daughter Kim....her son, Sean Soucy, lies in

Intensive Care following a car accident

over by the lake--he was Lifestared

to St Francis Hospital where he is

now in coma mode and time is

now slowly passing waiting to

hear of improvement

in his broken condition. Two

other people, I don't know, were also

hurt and are in Hospitals.

Kent Memorial Library in Suffield, Ct

The show lasts for the month of

August, and I have a total of

five paintings on the walls...

If I recall correctly, the day I took a photo of

this cow, she was the one that

stayed close to my car and we had a

staring contest of sorts.

Card Cat

The card my sister, Joanne, sent me

for my birthday has stayed by the

computer for awhile as I just like

to see that cat watching me. I have been

painting by the computer for the past week

so the brushes are nearby.

The Old Man's Bureau

As I looked into the room of an old Irish

house I was, of course, attracted to

what was on the old bureau top.

I think probably,

Angus finished with his washing up,

put out the candle and retired early,

for tomorrow they would leave

at dawn to bring down the dried

sod. Sure and it must be ready by now....

I spy a heron

An unexpected thrill for me to see this

heron off Furnace Rd yesterday---he's quite

far back and is the only shot I

have been able to get of one of these

handsome birds.

Destiny Rides.....

One of the smallest cow gals at the

party last night with the great

name of Destiny...

Early Sunrise

This is very early in the am in Eastport Maine.

The tide is either coming or going here in a cove.

In a month I should be seeing such sunrises

they have, that are the earliest on the east coast for a

town to experience.
